The Schooner Virginia
Jim joined the Schooner Virginia construction crew 2 1/2 months before the launch and
worked with the planking crew.
He carved the nameboards for the Virginia, painting and applying the gold leaf.  He also
planked the transom, built the midhouse deck structure and layed out and shaped the main
and fore masts from turned blanks.
Jim also carved and painted the Coast Guard ID numbers on the deck beam in the main
companion way.
